Varadero beach

The peninsula Varadero is 140 km east of Havana in the Matanzas province and is without doubt a beach paradise. Tourists revel under the sun in turquoise tinted water on beaches of fine white sand stretching over 20 kms. Almost all the hotels offer an all-inclusive room rental as well as diverse water sport activities like pedal boats, catamarans and wind surfing; power boat sports like jet ski, and para-sailing with fee. Varadero is perfect for beach holidays but does not offer a lot for culture seekers. This can be easily rectified with day trips to other towns and regions.

Location: straight at the Los Tainos beach front with a beautiful garden, opposite the Marina Chapelin and just 10 minutes from the town center.
Amenities: 4 stars, 11 complexes, each with 2 floors, in total 316 rooms in Caribbean style, restaurant, trattoria with 24 hr. service, snack bar, beach side grill bar, bar, souvenir shop, jewelers, auto and motorbike rental, tennis courts, water sports arena, golf course (with fee); all are in close proximity.

All Inclusive: This includes a buffet breakfast with lunch and dinner served in the restaurant "El Escarpe". The trattoria "Dolce Vita" offers a 24 hr service for pizza, pasta and snacks. "Los Loritos" has hamburgers, chicken, sandwiches, hot dogs as well as cocktails, sodas and coffee. For beach and pool towels and deck chairs, Water sports activities like peddle boats, kayak, snorkeling gear, windsurfing equipment, tennis, volleyball, archery and billiards are all available. There is a mini club for kids from 4 - 12 years old, aerobics, dance lessons, evening entertainment and shows. The bus leaves regularly for Varadero.

Amidst a tropical garden, surrounded by numerous plants and coconut palms, there are the Caribbean styled bungalows. An inviting large swimming pool for adults - which also boasts an Aqua bar - an open air Jacuzzi and a kid's pool. All the more reason to get wet!The impressive lobby displays a row of specialist shops offering, art and crafts, a jewelers, drugstore, car and motorcycle rental. The bar "El Patio" serves those famous cocktails like Mojito, Daiquiri and Pina Colada.


RELAX AT PLAYA LOS TAINO Those in need of a good rest can stroll on white sand beaches and delight in the deep turquoise of the sea. For the more active, water activities are on offer, while the beach grill bar "Los Pelicanos" spoils the hungry with Paellas, grill specialties, salads and cocktails.


ACTIVITIES, MINI Club & EXCURSIONS The hotel has extensive programs - how about a crash course as a cocktail mixer? - but are not obtrusive. The Mini Club for kids is set aside from the main area and run by locals with lots of love and care. Evening brings colorful festivities with Cuban music and dance performances. The excursion special - not part of the all-inclusive offer - includes swimming with dolphins, diving, deep-sea fishing, sailing, jetski and tours to the colonial cities Trinidad and Havana.


GOLF Close to the hotel, golfers have the "Varadero Golf" course, run by British Pro Jimmy Burns. Both the green fee for the eighteen-hole course, or golf lessons from a professional, can be arranged on site.
