Cienfuegos

The small town Fernandina de Jagua, modern day Cienfuegos arose in 1819 in the former Kaziken region, at an isolated and secluded part of a large bay. Fort Castillo de Jagua, a modern day attraction in the town, was built by the Spanish colonial rulers in 1745.
