Trinidad in 1514 became the third settlement of the Spanish and was declared a world cultural heritage in 1988 because of its old colonial town center. Its charming palette of colors includes the red tiled roofs and the pastel shades of old facades with their restored wrought iron work, perched amongst pale stone stairwells and plazas. Local bars entice you in for a cool beer, rum or cocktail, while the rhythms of sunny Cuban music float through bars, restaurants and the many plazas and parks of the town.
