Hotels Villa Clara in Cuba - Kuba

Santa Clara province and its namesake city owe their notoriety to one event: the seizure of the city by Che Guevara during the revolution war in December 1958 and Batista, the dictator’s subsequent flee to Santo Domingo – with which the success of the revolution was secured.
An absolute must for Che Guevara fans, the city is home to the Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara monument with many personal items,
the mausoleum, in which he rests after his remains were transferred from Bolivia in 1977, and the Tren Blindado monument, a reminder of the dictator’s military convoy derailed by Che Guevara.
The Cayos de la Herradura archipelagos, including the beautiful Cayo Las Brujas, are only about a one hour car ride towards the northeastern coast.
