Las Terraza Community is in the Natural reserve of the same name just a few kilometers away and welcomes visitors. Interesting to ornithologists: numerous bird species are native to this region and we have even spotted the very rare Tocororo, Cuba’s national bird and emblem.
Pinar del rio
Pinar del Rio, the most western Cuban province with Vinales Valley, the cultural landscape of humankind and Vuelta Abajo, the world’s best tobacco cultivating region. Soroa orchid garden is located in the Sierra del Rosario natural reserve, with 750 orchid species and Las Terrazas’ superb landscape and an offer of lasting tourism. Guanahacabibes peninsula’s two natural reserves is at the western end of the province: El Veral and Cabo Corrientes and the diving center María la Gorda, with around 40 diving spots and a colony of black corals. Cayo Levisa and La Corona of San Carlos also are also rewarding destinations for diving enthusiasts. San Diego de los Banos, recognized mineral water healing site is yet another attraction in the region.
