In Enchanting Art Nouveau,
this elegant hotel in the center of the old city, near Plaza Vieja is a true delight to the eyes. The hotel’s romantic aura is reflected in every detail either: from the baroque façade, to the reception area elevated by marble pillars, in comfortable corners to linger and get a glance of the countless architectural details. From the enormous stain glass dome, custom-made by a Cuban artist and sheds filtered daylight in the corridors and halls of the hotel, the quaint rooftop garden with a view of the city, to the cozily furnished rooms, the Hotel Raquel is a poster child for urban renewal in tourism. All the rooms are named in accordance with the Hebrew name “Raquel” (i.e. the junior-suite “David”) and are furnished with respective artwork.
