Originally opened in 1860 on Calle Amistad, the hotel was relocated in 1888 to its current city-center location at the Prado and Calle Neptuno. As a 4-star hotel, it is available again at the same location to the demanding guest. In the large atrium, in the middle of the hotel, pieces of the original pillars and walls were preserved as architectural elements which create a classic/modern atmosphere.
