"We've been down a few times with the boys. It was a cinch (after the short initiation) and was quite incredible.
Overall I think Maria La Gorda is great, but of course this depends on how you start your trip, with whom you travel and what expectations you have. By the way, thanks for the tips, we really enjoyed Cuba. "

"Maria La Gorda is a great place to relax, visitors should definitely take insect repellant to ward off the sand flies. The area is very beautiful and of course remote! Self-catering throughout the day is limited.
Diving in Maria La Gordia: great diving spots, lots of caves, coral, rarely large deep sea fish - wale-sharks, makos, hammerheads, mantas." (Note: time of travel was February)

"Great that it worked out fine, I was so delighted and have already recommended your site to my friends and associates. I think I have found two more people to come with me to Maria La Gordia and they're both divers! Actually we'd like to get going right now, can't wait…"

"The week in La Habana was obviously way too short, but so full of events and impressions and interesting people and, and, and, that we will definitely go there again sometime".

"And finally I'd like to thank you again for your help. You gave us a fabulous start to our vacation with your recommendation of the hotel San Miguel, which was our sanctuary before further reconnoitre. Really, it is an incredibly beautiful house with very pleasant staff. We were able to stay an extra night and then drive with Viazul (bus line) for a few days to Santiago de Cuba. The return trip through Santa Clara and Trinidad was interesting and the religious procession in Trinidad was very impressive."

"My dream came true in May 2001 - Cuba. This is not only a fantastic country with caring and good-hearted people, rum and cigars, no, this is also salsa! Nowhere else can you learn salsa as well as with Gilberto….Within 6 days I had learnt endless 'casinos', that's what you call the fantasy-filled expression for a salsa turn in Cuba . My tip for all salsa fans: if you're going to salsa, then do it in Cuba - take the dance course with Gilberto in Havana - a city where flair comes easy.
Brief travel log: 7 days Havana - hotel Hotetur Deauville with a view of the Malecon, centrally situated, dance classes with Gilberto. Off to Santiago de Cuba with Cubans - 10 days hotel Bucanero in gorgeous settings. All in all, really well organized, I can only recommend it. Everything ran without a hitch. I'm smitten with the place and will be off again soon."
