On the following pages you'll find personal recommendations we want to pass on. Perhaps you want to experience something 'new' yourself during your time in Cuba. We've put together a list of the cigar shops in the capital, including all that belong to the genuine 'Casa del Habano'. While the manager of the Casa del Habano places special emphasis on quality, this still means the produce from the other shops is also usually faultless. An 'aficionado' examines the cigars before purchasing and if there are any faults they need to be pointed out there and then. The Casa's don't all keep the same stock, so there is always a little surprise in store during your visit!
	The depicted logo you see was created for the second festival del Habano, a festival that drew in many visiting specialists and aficionados from all over the world.
LA CASA DEL HABANO
La Casa del Habano Fábrica de Partagas Calle Industria 520, Habana Vieja, situated behind the Capitolio - good choice and advice, smoker's lounge, aficionados meet here from all around the world. La Casa del Habano Conde de Villanueva Calle de Mercaderes No. 220 corner Lamparilla, Habana Vieja, located close to the harbor. This gem of a shop on the first level inside the Hotel courtyard boasts a great choice of cigars and expert personnel. Hotel guests can rent a box for their cigars. Cigars are enjoyed in either the smoker's lounge or the hotel's beautiful courtyard. La Casa del Habano Miramar 5ta. Avenida Ecke 16, located in the direction of Marina Hemingway in the beautiful district of Miramar - good club atmosphere and lots of regulars, here you'll find a great assortment of cigars and excellent advice. La Casa del Habano Varadero Opposite the Hotel Cuatro Palmas, in Varadero the best starting post: beautiful shop, wide range of tobacco and top advice. But on the down side: Varadero is a very expensive area so don't make this Casa your only stop. When buying large quantities we recommend a trip to Havana.

DIVERSE
Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabaña The fortress on the other side of the bay from Havana is a tourist attraction. The cigar shop lies within the oldest walls of the city - here you go more for atmosphere than for stock and advice. Bar Havana Club In the old harbor part of the city there is a bar, museum and rum and cigar shop. A beautiful place, that is actually more inviting for the wide range of rum than cigars. Calle San Pedro No. 262 corner Sol Marina Hemingway In the district Jaimanitas, somewhat out of the way and is more advisable for those who also want to visit the yacht marina. A small shop with friendly service. El Patio Colonial Calle Obispo Ecke Baratillo, Habana Vieja - minimal selection, there are more interesting cigar shops in the area.

LA CASA DEL TABACO

Casa del Habanao Museo
Calle Mercaderes No. 120 corner Obrapía, Habana Vieja, a few meters away from the main circuit of the old city, Calle Obispo, you'll find this shop in the Tobacco museum. And if good things come in small parcels - the shop is tiny- then here the Presidentes of Partagas are approximately 10-15 USD cheaper as in other Casas.
La Casa del Tabaco Hotel Meliá Cohiba
Calle Paseo, Vedado, located near to the Malecon promenade - small shop with a good choice, even more interesting is the smoker's lounge 'Refugio" situated on the first floor of the hotel. Extremely comfortable and a good meeting place in the evenings, often frequented by business professionals.
La Casa del Tabaco Hotel Comodoro
Calle 3ra. and 84, Miramar
La Casa del Tabaco Club Habana
5ta. Avenida 188-192, Miramar, the club occupies a large area on the Havana beach-front and was formerly the legendary Havana Biltmore Yacht and Country Club - mainly a club for its members, guests are permitted with club members - there is an excellent choice of cigars and a decent smoker's lounge.
La Casa del Tabaco Palacio de Convenciones
Convention Center, Ave. 146 between 11 u. 13, Playa, more than most, this shop often keeps more sought after porcellan humidors of brands like Cohiba, Montecristo und Cuaba.
La Casa del Tabaco y el Ron
Obispo corner Monserrate, Habana Vieja, not easy to see from street, this shop is directly left of the Floridita on the first level. Qualifying with an extremely good assortment of rum that is hard to obtain elsewhere, the small cigar shop towards the back is not necessarily the first choice for an aficionado.

Hotel Nacional
Vedado on the Malecon - this beautiful lower ground shop offers a good range, a comfortable smoker's lounge and lots of accessories. The neighboring shop sells a lot of high proof for rum enthusiasts.
Hotel Capri
Calle 21 and N, Vedado, very close to the Nacional - one should try the better alternatives: the Nacional or the Habana Libre shop.
Hotel Parque Central
Calle Neptuno on Parque Central, Habana Vieja - a new luxury hotel houses this small but fine shop. Instead of a large range you'll find specialties like Cohibas and Montecristos in the porcelain humidors.
Hotel guests can hire a cigar box inside the shop humidor.
Hotel Sevilla
Calle Trocadero between Prado and Agramonte - this shop has a good range of small sizes. You'll be looking in vain for cigars like the series D No.4 or similar.
Hostal Valencia
Calle Oficios corner Obrapía, Habana Vieja - this cigar shop is hidden away in the right corner near the
bar and is easy to overlook. Mini-shop with a small range, but what's there is of excellent quality. The hotel's patio often hosts live music and is one of the most beautiful in the city, an ideal place for a cigar break.

Aeropuerto Internacional José Martí - Havana
There is a tobacco shop in Terminal 1 and 2 that you can seek out as a last chance before your return flight. The choice is minimal but they try to keep a good stock of popular brands and sizes. The prices are higher than in the city.
