HOTELS WITH TRADITION
The hotels we offer you in Havana reflect in most cases their city's history and will captivate you with their flair and gracious architecture. Start with a trip back in time in a domicile, which drew such personalities as Enrico Caruso, Ava Gardner, Winston Churchill, Hemmingway, or Al Capone. Some houses were palaces for nobility in past epochs or the ruling houses of wealthy trade families. These were later restored with great care and are now open for their guests to enjoy.
Hotel Conde De Villanueva
Location: This 18th century building was built in the middle of the old city for a Spanish merchant, restored perfectly in 1998, and subsequently opened as a hotel in true Cuban cigar lover's style. The cigar theme is reflected in the interior of the hotel, the names of the rooms and suites, the paintings and photos. In addition to this, you will find a skillful Torcedor (cigar roller) here and you can talk with him, watch him at work and even purchase the freshly rolled cigars. The restaurant is geared to the tastes of cigar lovers and last but not least the hotel houses one of the best Casa del Habano (cigar shops) in the city.
