ROUND TRIP HAVANA AND CENTRAL CUBA CUBA IN 8 DAYS

Book trip

Everything for your Cuba trip
Cuba travel expert since 1999

Round trips, true to style in the Classic Car of the 50s, are an absolute highlight for visitors to the island. The metropolis of Havana, the colonial city of Trinidad or the city of Santa Clara, which stands under the sign of the revolutionary hero Ernesto Che Guevara, inspire with the cultural diversity of the country's provinces. Exploring nature parks around Trinidad and a day on the Caribbean and island Cayo Blanco offer moments of relaxation and pure fun. Beautiful landscapes and beaches that want to be discovered!

Individual travel planning

The planning of the round trips is individual, concerning the duration and the choice of cities and regions. Your interests and enthusiasm for culture, nature and beach shape the planning. The tours take place with driver and guide and are possible in comfortable private accommodations as well as in hotels. The planning is laid out in such a way that you can also see one or the other on site, which perhaps did not find its way directly into the itinerary, but can be spontaneously arranged with the tour guide on site. For families or small groups we offer round trips with several Classic Cars.

Experience cultural diversity and contact with locals

The charm of the provinces of the country lies in the local cultural customs of the big city and small town to the rural village. Special local events can be checked by your guide and visited spontaneously. A visit to Cuban stores or a weekly market will show the everyday life of the Cubans. On our trips you will also experience the original Cuba, away from the showcase projects, and gain contact with the local population.

Nature experience in Cuba

For nature lovers, Cuba offers national parks, biosphere reserves, protected natural landscapes and fauna sanctuaries. These areas allow hikes of different difficulty levels and offer a contrast to the cultural life in the cities. For snorkeling and diving certainly interesting are stays at coastal regions and islands such as the bay "Bahía de Cochinos" on the south coast off Cienfuegos or the island Cayo Blanco off the coast of Trinidad.

Day 4

Cienfuegos

In the morning departure to the first stop on the south coast of the island. Cienfuegos is known as the "City of a Hundred Fires," which refers to the beacons that used to guide incoming ships into Jagua Bay.

Historical center and theater Tomás Terry

A walk in the historic part around Parque Jose Martí shows the city initially built by French settlers. Visit to the Tomás Terry Theater - inaugurated in 1890 with Verdi's Aida and witness of bygone eras. Visit to typical Cuban stores and a fruit and vegetable market (depending on opening hours).

Yacht Club Cienfuegos and the Palacio de Valle

On the Punta Gorda peninsula is the restored Yacht Club Cienfuegos, which allows a view over the marina and occasionally of cruise ships being anchored. Visit of one of the most interesting buildings in the country, the "Palacio de Valle". An architectural gem with Moorish, Venetian and Gothic style elements. Formerly built by a private man from Spain, he had spared no expense and effort to make a dream come true - in this form unique in Cuba.

Day 5

Trinidad - colonial heritage and city of the sugar barons

The drive along the coastal road leads to one of the most beautiful cities in the country: The colonial city of Trinidad, founded in 1514.

Walk around the colonial old town and visit the Romantic Museum and the Historical Museum with a climb to the bell tower. These buildings were former stately homes and the exhibits include furnishings and household goods that exude the air of bygone eras. There are some very nice restaurants in downtown Trinidad, and a stroll through the colonial old town is recommended here. Rooftop restaurants have become fashionable, where you can sit and enjoy the view over the rooftops of the city. Music groups perform in some bars and restaurants, but especially in the venerable institution "Casa de la Trova", where locals and tourists shake a leg. The musical events next to the Trinidad Cathedral are highlights of the city: the live rhythms of salsa and son attract hundreds of locals and tourists.

Day 8

Santa Clara

On the way to Havana or Varadero stop in Santa Clara.

For fans of Ernesto "Che" Guevara a must-see! With the capture of the city during the revolution in 1958, the rebels led by "Che" sealed the fate of the Batista regime and cleared the way for the victorous entry into the capital Havana. Landmarks bear witness to the veneration that the popular hero still receives today and are part of the worldwide cult surrounding the figure of "Che", who died in Bolivia in 1967.

The mausoleum is the place of the mortal remains, which were solemnly buried there in 1997. Visit to historical sites, monuments and entrance to the mausoleum (closed on Monday). Continue to the capital Havana or to the north coast, to the Varadero Peninsula. Arrival in the early afternoon; end of the round trip.
